Object Storage
Durable storage with an S3-compatible API. Fully Canadian from the ground-up.
Worktree Object Storage is launching soon as part of Worktree Cloud, and already powers parts of Worktree itself. Our platform is fully developed in-house—from the filesystem to the API—right here in MontrĂ©al.

We're already using Object Storage in production internally, and are granting beta access as we grow our capacity. Join the waitlist now to get early access when it's available.
What is object storage?
Object (or "Blob") Storage is API-driven storage for applications that want to store data durably at scale. Containerized applications often have immutable or ephemeral local filesystems, making external storage that much more important.
What does S3-Compatible mean?
Our API is compatible with Amazon S3, the de-facto industry standard API for object storage. Most applications that use S3 should work with Worktree Object Storage out of the box, making it a drop-in replacement for AWS.
Why can't I sign up immediately?
We're unfortunately not operating with Big Tech budgets, so we have to gradually roll out object storage as we grow our available capacity behind the scenes. Joining the waitlist is the best way to get access as quickly as it becomes available.
Do you support {advanced S3 feature}?
In general, probably not. Advanced features such as tiering, multi-region replication, object versioning, access logs, legal holds, etc. are planned for the future, but are not implemented yet in the beta.
Is this open source?
Partially! We have open-sourced the backing "storage cell" layer, responsible for distributing objects amongst a cluster — check out worktree/blobfs. We hope to open source the full API codebase as well, once it is more complete.

Object Storage is launching soon
We're already using object storage in production internally, and are rolling out a private beta as our capacity grows. Join the waitlist now to get early access to truly sovereign, S3-compatible storage as soon as it's available, in our first region: Montréal (qc-south-1).
